Tandoori Gobhi (Indian Spicy Marinated Cauliflower Baked)

Tandoor is a type of clay oven. Tandoori dishes are quite popular in the Indian sub continent. The trick for a tandoori dish lies in it’s marinade. Cooking cauliflower in an oven is more prevalent these days in the absence of tandoor.

  • Wash and cut cauliflower into bite size pieces/florets. Drain off completely in a colander.
  • Now put all the marinade ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
  • In a large glass bowl, mix in the marinade onto the florets and marinate about 30 minutes. Leave in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Line a large baking tray with parchment and arrange the florets without overcrowding the dish. bake about 8 minutes.
  • Serve warm with yogurt dip, sliced onion, cucumbers and lemon wedges.
