Yields: 12 Servings

Cranberry Sauce is usually served with Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. The strange thing is that while most people spend hours making various dishes for Thanksgiving or other festivals, when it comes to cranberry sauce they usually serve the store bought sauce. Not done! Here is a tried & tested cranberry sauce recipe which can be made in less than 20 minutes & whats more even after the festivities are done, you can serve left over sauce over some fresh bread or like me eat it on it’s own as a mini snack.

  • In a medium saucepan, take orange juice & sugar. Add the cloves & bring this to a boil on medium heat.
  • Add the cranberries, zest & let this simmer for about 10 minutes. Keep stirring in between until the cranberries burst & the sauce comes to a bubble.
  • Remove the sauce immediately into a glass bowl & keep cover until cool.
  • When cooled, put it in the refrigerator until it is ready to be served. Tastes better after a day or so. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Tastes good with turkey or roast chicken.
