Yields: 4 Servings Difficulty: Easy Prep Time: 10 Mins Cook Time: 14 Mins Total Time: 24 Mins

Buttery Garlic Chilli Mushrooms are these flavourful mushrooms that is a popular with all mushroom lovers. This an easy appetizer that goes well with a drink or as a side with your favourite noodle or rice dish.

Garlic Butter Mushrooms are commonly served in pubs, restaurants and many Asian food trucks. But adding some chilli flavour  onto this dish gives it that nice spicy twist. You can add any store bought or homemade chilli sauce. I like the Indonesian condiment called ‘Sambal Oelek’ which is made of fresh red chillies and no added fermented products.

You can also add any herbs of your choice to this recipe. My personal favourites are rosemary, thyme, oregano, parsley or cilantro. If you don’t have fresh herbs, add in dried herbs, just half the quantity. This one is a umami loaded dish.

Mushrooms are a low carb vegetable. According to an article published in UCLA health, mushrooms contain macronutrients that support a healthy immune system. https://www.uclahealth.org/news/7-health-benefits-of-mushrooms#:~:text=Mushrooms%20contain%20macronutrients%20that%20support,mushrooms%20for%20the%20most%20benefit.

This Buttery Garlic Chilli Mushrooms can be made in 10 minutes. What’s best is it can be served with just about anything. It can be served with roast meat, veggies, with some garlic bread or even can be used as stuffings. I like to serve this Buttery Garlic Chilli Mushrooms as a side with any Asian noodle or rice dish such as paneer fried rice https://relishdelish.ca/recipes/paneer-fried-rice/
