Besan Ke Ladoo is an Indian sweet recipe. It is made with chickpea flour, sugar and ghee. Like many other Indian sweets, these sweet treats are high in calories.

- Dry roast the chana dal in a pan for about 10 minutes on medium flame. Let it cool and then grind it into a coarse pd.
- In a heavy bottom pan, roast this coarse powder for about 15 minutes, Keep stirring in between so that the pd. does not burn.
- Then add in about 1/2 cup of the melted ghee and mix well.
- Keep stirring another 10 to 15 minutes until it emits a sweet aroma.
- Now add in the finely chopped nuts and a little more ghee.
- Now add in the ground cardamom pd. Mix well and switch off the flame.
- Transfer the contents onto a greased steel plate and let it cool a few minutes.
- Add 1/4 cup warm milk, mix well. Take about 2 tbsp. each and roll them out into ladoos. Garnish each laoo with a pistachio and store in an air tight container.
Notes
These ladoos keep well at room temperature for about a week. If u keep them refrigerated, warm the ladoos for only about 10 seconds in the microwave before serving.
