Orange Bundt Cake

An Orange Bundt Cake is the ultimate favourites for any citrus lovers with a sweet tooth. It is sweet, moist and packs in a citrus bite in each slice. Ingredients
    Cake:
  • 2 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 2 tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1 cup Butter (softened)
  • 1 & 1/2 cups granulated Sugar
  • zest of 2 Oranges
  • zest of 1 Lemon
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Orange Glaze
  • 3 tsp. Sugar
  • 3 tsp. Orange Juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Frosting
  • 1 tbsp. Cream Cheese
  • 1 tbsp. Milk
  • 1 cups Icing Sugar
Instructions
    ORANGE CAKE
  1. Zest and juice about 3 large oranges and keep aside.
  2. Zest 1 lemon.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  4. Grease and flour a 9 inch bundt pan.
  5. In a glass bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and corn starch and keep aside.
  6. Beat butter in an electric stand mixer until light and creamy.
  7. Gradually add in the sugar and beat until fluffy, about 4 minutes.
  8. Now add in the orange and lemon zest and beat a couple of minutes.
  9. Add in eggs, one at a time, followed by sour cream and the vanilla extract, beating continuously on low speed.
  10. Finally add in the orange juice and the flour, a little at a time until everything is fully mixed.
  11. Transfer the batter into the bundt pan and bake in the oven for about 25 to 30 minutes until a wooden skewer or fork inserted comes out clean.
  12. Remove cake from oven and cool about 20 minutes.
  13. ORANGE SYRUP
  14. Take 3 tsp. orange juice along with 3 tsp. sugar in a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer. Let it cool a few minutes.
  15. Transfer the cake onto a serving platter. Poke a few holes on the cake and brush the orange syrup all over the cake.
  16. FROSTING:
  17. Add a tbsp of cream cheese into a medium bowl and whisk until smooth about 4 to 5 minutes. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and mix. Finally add in about a tbsp. of milk to make it a smooth pouring consistency.
  18. Now glaze the cake with the cream frosting. Slice and serve.
