Fruit Balls

Fruit balls are sweets made during Christmas season. They are made with dried fruits and nuts.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 3/4 cup dried apricots
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 3/4 cup desiccated coconut
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 2 tbsp. orange juice
  • 1 cup blanced almonds
  • 2 tbsp. castor sugar (optional)
Instructions
  1. Ground almonds in a food processor and keep aside.
  2. In the same food processor, add in the cranberries, apricots, coconut and pulse for a few minutes. Then add in the orange juice and honey and blend well. Take out this mixture into a bowl.
  3. Take about 1 tbsp. of the mixture and form it into a ball shape. Roll the ball in the ground almonds and keep aside on a platter. Make all the balls and then dust with powdered sugar if desired. Store the fruit balls in an air tight container and store in the refrigerator.

You can even add chocolate chips to this recipe and dried fruits and nut of your choice.
