Spicy Grilled Steak on the BBQ

Here is a simple recipe for steak sirloin. The steak pieces are marinated for about 4 hours and then grilled on the bbq.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjBiMo6UrpQ&t=30s
  • Difficulty: Easy
Prep Time: 240 mins
Cook Time: 12 mins
Total Time: 252 mins
Ingredients
  • 4 steak sirloin pieces
  • 2 tbsp. garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp. steak seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. chipotle sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. cracked black pepper
  • tbsp. oil (I used chilli flavoured oil)
Instructions
  1. Clean, wash and dry sirloin pieces.
  2. Put the pieces in a ziplock bag and add in the rest of the ingredients (marinade). Close the zip lock bag and give it a nice rub so that the marinade coats the steak pieces. Now put it in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours.
  3. Before grilling, take the steak out of the refrigerator about 10 minutes and leave it on room temperature.
  4. Heat the bbq. Spray a little PAM on the grills and then place the steak sirloin on the bbq at an angle a little apart from each other. Place it directly so that you get the charred marks on the steak.
  5. BBQ the steak for about 5 to 6 minutes and then turn them over and cook further for 5 to 6 minutes or so. Lower the temperature of your bbq if required after turning the steak. For a medium cooked steak, a thermometer put inside should show about 145 degrees F. (See Recipe Notes for cooking times).
  6. After cooking, remove the steak sirloins onto a plate and cover with aluminium foil for about 10 minutes.
  7. Then cut the steak pieces and serve with sides of your choice.
Recipe Notes

Depending on how well done you want the steak to cook, times will vary: For rare, cook about 6 to 8 minutes (until internal temperature gets 125 degrees F) For medium rare, cook about 4  minutes each side, total of 7 to 10 minutes (internal temperature of 135 degrees F). For medium, cook for  about 6  minutes each side, total of 10 to 12 minutes (internal temperature of 145 degrees F) For well done, cook for about 7 minutes each side, total of about 12 to 15 minutes (150 degrees F).
